Destroying organic contaminants* from the environment and bathers is important
Shocking your pool water is a needed step for proper pool maintenance. Shocks or oxidizers chemically destroy organic contaminants to help restore water clarity, maintain water balance and also eliminate the main cause of odour and eye irritation.
*such as perspiration, suntan lotions, hair sprays, body oils, urine, pet dander, and cosmetics.
Oxysheen:
Non-halogenated (contains no chlorine or bromine) shock-oxidizing agent. The regular use of this product will oxidize most of the nitrogenous wastes that accumulate in swimming pool water, reducing the demand on the sanitizer used for disinfection. It may be used in chlorine and bromine treated pools.
- Fast-acting shock that destroys contaminants.
- Will not raise chlorine residual.
- Treat and swim in as soon as 15 minutes.
Instructions:
- Operate the pump.
- Pour 120 g of Oxysheen per 10,000 L of swimming pool water on areas of good circulation.
- Brush off any undissolved product.
- Swimming can begin 15 minutes after application.
NOTE: Oxysheen will produce false high chlorine readings for 48 to 72 hours.
ADVICE: In cold water conditions, pre-dissolve the product and pour along the pool.
NOTE: Additional applications are recommended after heavy rains or large amounts of bathers.
