Why go through the hassle of closing your pool?
Closing your pool makes maintenance easy during the off months and keeps things under control until you are ready to open it. Closing your pool properly means an easier spring opening that can help save effort, time and money!
Hibernate® Premium Anti-freeze:

- Double action antifreeze, with corrosion inhibitor to protect plumbing and equipment.
- Guaranteed burst protection to -45°C (-50°F).
Instructions:
- Drain water from plumbing and pool equipment before adding anti-freeze (follow manufacturer's instructions)
- Add the antifreeze to your equipment system (pump, filter, skimmer and water heater). NOTE: Most water heaters have a pressure relief valve or plug on the top front of the water heater. Remove the valve or plug to add the anti-freeze. After plugging, add a few inches of antifreeze directly to the skimmer.
- Add the anti-freeze to the pool plumbing. NOTE: The piping cannot be drained by gravity. A funnel or small hand pump connected to a piece of flexible tubing can be used to transfer the mixture to hard-to-reach places.
POOL OPENING: The anti-freeze that seeps into the pool does not cause problems for swimmers or for the chemical maintenance routine. However, it is a good idea to drain the anti-freeze from the equipment before returning the pool to service. It is not necessary to drain the antifreeze from the pool plumbing.
